Overview
The Workforce Development (WFD) project is a powerful initiative aimed at breaking the cycle of
exploitation in North Bengal—a region historically burdened by economic hardship and political
instability. Jointly implemented by Reach India Trust and supported by Nomi Network, this project is
committed to addressing the root causes of human trafficking by empowering marginalized women
and young girls with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities they need to build dignified,
independent lives.
Objective
At the heart of the WFD project is a vision of resilience and transformation. By working directly
with vulnerable communities, the initiative raises awareness about the dangers of human

helping individuals and communities understand the risks, recognize the signs, and build
strategies for protection and prevention.
