Overview

The Skill Development Initiative of Reach India Trust, supported by ITC Mission Sunehra Kal
(MSK), is being implemented in Khidderpore, Kolkata, to empower local youth through marketdriven vocational training and livelihood promotion. Targeting marginalized communities from the
ITC Ltd. Khidderpore factory catchment area, the program provides structured training in CRM,
WLA, and Multipurpose Technician trades, along with soft skills and personality development to
enhance employability. With placement support and linkages to reputed employers, the initiative
promotes sustainable livelihoods and fosters inclusive socio-economic growth in the Khidderpore
community.

Objective

• Equip youth with market-relevant vocational skills ensure dignified employment and income
  generation through placement support.
• Empower marginalized youth to break the cycle of poverty through reskilling and upskilling
  Promote youth confidence, soft skills, and professional ethics.

Implementation Framework

The ITC- MSK RIT VT centers provides :

• Conversational English & IT skills
• Life skills sessions on gender, hygiene, tobacco awareness, and workplace conduct
• Placement-linked support through employer networking and campus drives
• Events like Virtual Alumni Meets, Campus Drives, and Festival Celebrations to foster
  belonging and motivation
